1.What is a Bridal Consultant, and do I need one?
Your consultant is a professional who has endless hours of training and experience, she
uses highly qualified vendors and will concentrate on making your day run perfectly stress
free as you relax and enjoy. You can choose any or all of the roles she plays such as
coordinator, advocate/point person, mediator, supervisor, advisor, budget assistant
and so on. Your consultant works behind the scene to make it all happen.


2.What will a consultant do for me?
MS Weddings objective is to assist in making your dream day a reality while helping you stay within the budget, save you precious time, and avoid any costly mistakes. We would handle as much of the details as you would like and be there to smooth all of those complex relationships that sometimes come about with family and friends. Always with you in mind to reduce stress and help you enjoy your engagement and wedding.

3.Do consultants get commission from suppliers?
Some vendors do offer commissions to consultants but at MS Weddings and Events we do not accept them. If the Supplier offers to show their gratification we highly recommend that they supply you with the discount. It is not favorable with the Association of Bridal Consultants either and they strongly recommend against commissions. You should know how the consultant is being paid and by whom.

4.Both Ceremony and reception sites have an on-site planner, why would I need a consultant?
This is a common question and quite justified. Some places do include their own "on-site" coordinator, when this happens MS Weddings does not infringe on their responsibilities. They do a wonderful job getting done what is contracted, but they are usually focused on the venue they work for; leaving the question of who will manage the details you have spent hours working on, such as flowers for readers, groomsmen, grandparents, assuring the musicians, limo, and photographer are on time, programs are handed out, candles are lit, bows on chairs are straight, DJ is on time, and much more. On site coordinators are frequently not prepared or else willing to take care of the little things or problems. We are your personal assistant for the entire day. Knowing what the big picture is and assuring that every detail is in its place, looking as beautiful as you have dreamed it would.

5.Why can't I do the planning myself?
Undoubtedly, you can do the planning yourself, and that at times, is part of the fun. But it also can be a hassle and time consuming, researching your choices of numerous vendors, worrying about getting the best deal, making sure all the details are in place, orchestrating the day, dealing with last minute issues, and wonder if everything will turn out all right. Your consultant has the experience to make it all work, so you can relax and enjoy it all. Worry Free!

6.What will a consultant charge and can I afford one?
Remember that a consultant is part of your budget not an added expense. Most consultants charge either a % of the cost of the event, an hourly rate, a fixed rate or a combination of these. Here at MS Weddings & Events we charge a flat fee. Consequently you know up front what the cost is; there are never added surprises or expenses. In effect, you often save money because a consultant knows and suggests alternatives that work best around your budget and still enhances the event. Above all your consultant will work with you to create your dream wedding with your budget in mind.

7.Our budget is tight how can I justify the cost of hiring a consultant?
MS Weddings will help you stay on budget by locating the best values for your money.
By hiring a coordinator who has the knowledge, experience and identifies qualified
Vendors & suppliers, you are saving on purchases of planning guides, wedding books
and internet time you would normally obtain. She is there for you the entire day to
oversee any conflicts, keep you on schedule, and stay behind the scenes taking care of
everything so you enjoy this beautiful day, a value you cannot put a price on.

She will assure the entire day runs calmly & smoothly. And will always have your best
interest at heart while going that extra mile for you.


8.What qualities should I look for in a Bridal Consultant?
It is very important you feel relaxed and comfortable with your consultant. After all she is the one who you are trusting this important day with to keep things running smoothly and worry free. And she will be with you for many hours. Check to see if she is a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants. If so you will know that she is following the guidelines of ethics and knowledge that is important and required.

9.How much control will I have over the planning /details, will the consultant want to run the show?
MS Weddings believes this is your day and your way. We would never deny the enjoyment you get from planning your special day, for that reason we always work with you as much or as little as you desire. You make all of the very important decisions; we make sure everything goes as planned effortlessly. We are there to help you and your families createthe day perfect.

10.What if I have already done most of the planning? Can you still help me?
Yes, we can assist you in many ways, even though you planned all the big things there are always little details that need attending to, We also help by becoming your point person for the rehearsal and wedding day. Leaving all the planning you have spent hour's coordinating with us to orchestrate. You can be certain we are on top of everything and leaving nothing for you and your family to worry about. You'll be free to visit and enjoy your guests while we set your mind at rest that everything is running according to plan.

11.What is your procedure on the day of the wedding?
MS Weddings and Events get you through the entire day stress free. We begin early morning & stay well into the night. Assuring your vendors are on time, deliveries are correct, schedules are met, and your dancing the night away.. We make sure you are on schedule for all the ceremony, photos and reception timetables, including your special dances, cake cutting, etc. Even, the smallest detail which requires attending to will be taken care of without notice. 13.What does a wedding consultant do exactly?
Beginning with our complimentary consultation, We listen & learn from you what the Perfect Day will be, we talk about your budget, your likes and dislikes, and how MS Weddings and Events can help you complete this dream with little worry/ stress and staying on budget. Then, upon hiring, we discuss the resources that can fit your needs and budget. Such as Florist, Photographers, DJ/Bands etc…. Working with MS Weddings helps you find the perfect Vendor and Venue without all the legwork involved. We do the legwork; you decide which one is best for you, then you book them. We have constant and unlimited contact throughout the planning process answering all questions and helping you to find whatever you may need. As the time draws near a consultant reconfirms your contracts with the vendors and makes sure any changes you have made are taken care of … We go over all the final details together and make any changes you like. On the weekend of your wedding a consultant becomes your personal advocate (point person) we join you at rehearsal making sure everyone is comfortable with their duties for the following day. On the day of, we are at your side from early morning until late into the night; overseeing all details to ensure everything is going as planned, nothing goes unnoticed, everything runs smoothly and on schedule the entire day.
